Welcome Frank to the rescue
5 year old Frank came into foster today after being found as a stray and then taken into kennels as his old family didn’t want him back. He will spend some time there to help him gain some weight and get used to a comfy sofa again.
Huge thank you to our amazing transport volunteer and foster who helped us get him into the rescue quickly. Applications not open yet.
We will keep you posted on his glow up

Well, Frank is almost ready to find the forever home he’s been dreaming of! This sweet boy has blossomed in foster care — he’s made a best friend in a female Boston Terrier, and a hooman sister too. He’s even enjoyed a cheeky trip to the local pub, turning heads with his charm 😉
After everything he’s been through, Frank’s resilience shines, and we can’t wait to see him finally settled where he truly belongs 🐾
Frank will be going up for adoption VERY soon! 👀

Thank you from Frank
New boy Frank didn’t come into the rescue with much, so we have sent him one of our foster boxes kindly donated by one of our supporters.
A massive thanks from all of us here at UKBTR and his foster family!
Watch the video below to see him in action.
UPDATE:
Frank went up for adoption early March with a glowing CV and within no time was reserved.
Here’s the official Frank résumé:
Age: 5 (almost 6… he’d like that noted for maturity reasons)
Kids: Can live with children 5+ – he’s been brilliant with his foster’s daughter and takes cuddles very seriously
Dogs: Could live with another friendly dog – he plays nicely with his Boston foster sister
Cats: Not tested
Health: Has early cataracts developing but they don’t slow him down one bit – zoomies still fully operational
Medical: Had a cancerous lump removed by the kennels vet. The chance of it returning is low, and if it did the rescue would cover 50% of any related bills
Neutered & wormed: All sorted
Weight: Still a little underweight but already gained about ½ kg in foster (Frank says this is due to his dedication to snacks)
Training: Housetrained and can be left for sensible short periods
Hobbies: Playing nicely with dog friends, cuddles and carrying around his beloved toy carrot
Important note: Frank may chew the post if the postman takes too long delivering snacks. We can’t confirm this, but the evidence is… suspicious.
Frank is a sweet, funny little lad who just wants a warm home, a comfy bed, and someone to admire his carrot collection
He’s been through a bit but hasn’t let it dull his sparkle (or his interest in food).

UPDATE
Early April we all gave a little cheer as Frank went off to his forever home. Watch this space and we will update on his progress of settling in soon.
UPDATE
We received a heart warming update from Franks new family. He has a new name and looks incredible.
"The difference UK Boston Terrier Rescue makes for these beautiful dogs is incredible
On the left was the photo UKBTR posted when Frank (we've now named him Benny as we all have a Frank) came into the rescue. On the right was him yesterday enjoying a walk in our local park.
This is down to this wonderful rescue and all those that are a part of and support UKBTR."
