Stanley rescue Boston Terrier

Foster Diary Stanley

This week we welcomed Stanley to the rescue. This is a recap of his journey (literally) to the rescue.

It all started with booking in his assessment.

Following his assessment, we knew we needed to act quickly—and thanks to our incredible transport team and a wonderful foster who stepped up at very short notice, this handsome boy was safely in foster within 24 hours.

Stanley’s journey was about 167 miles and was done urgently due to his circumstances. We have a lovely video showing the journey here.

Our Transport Team pulled out ALL the stops to get Stanley to safety. Volunteers in different areas of the country came to his rescue and ensured his safe arrival into foster.

Transporting is one of the volunteering pillars of the rescue. Without our Transport Coordinator and our unbelievable team of transport volunteers across the U.K., this right here would be impossible.

We are always in awe of the time and dedication given by our volunteer team.

So a little about Stanley:

He is a Boston x Frenchie at just 3 years old and has already been through a lot, so for now he’ll be taking some time to decompress, settle into home life, and start his journey with us. Over the coming weeks we’ll be assessing his health and making sure we fully understand his needs so we can find him the perfect forever sofa

For possibly the first time he discovered the joy of pressies.

A huge thank you to one of our kind supporters Claire Lewis for sponsoring the most wonderful foster box for little Stanley.

Stanley has been beside himself with excitement – his tiny tail wagging so fast we thought he might take off!

Every new thing coming out of the box has been an adventure, and it’s safe to say this has been his best day ever

Your kindness has made such a difference to this little boy’s start in his new life. Thank you for giving him so much joy.

Our virtual gifts have made such a difference to welcoming our new foster pups. They often arrive with nothing and deserve their own toys and kit as well as support towards vet care.

He is not available for applications at this time—but we’ll be sure to keep you all updated on his progress. Follow along in our Foster Diary blog for updates. Check out our Instagram for behind the scenes content

Welcome to safety, sweetheart. Your new life starts here
