No walk? No problem.

Just brought home a rescue dog? Before you reach for the lead, stop and listen to this: your new dog doesn’t need a walk right now—they need a pause.

In this episode of Paws and Pawsitivity, I’m talking about why the first two weeks should be calm, quiet, and full of patience—not packed with outings.

Imagine starting a new job or moving to a different country, and someone drags you into a noisy crowd straight away.  That’s how many dogs feel on those “welcome home” walks.

Instead, I’ll show you how to build trust gently:
 -Encourage natural exploration
- Create safe, calm routines
- Bond without pressure

Let’s rethink what settling in should really look like—one quiet, kind moment at a time. 💛
