At just under two years old, Fred has mastered the following skills:

 Looking ridiculously cute

 Sleeping like it’s an Olympic sport

 Collecting cuddly toys and running off with them like precious treasure

 Winning hearts in under 30 seconds

 Travelling beautifully in the car

 Being kissed and cuddled by small children without complaint

He has not yet mastered:

 Playing fetch (“You threw it, you go get it.”)

 Recall (“I heard you. I just chose not to respond.”)

 Understanding that motorbikes are not terrifying monsters

 Being left alone for long periods

 Sharing his toys with dog friends.

 Fred is a sensitive soul who can be a little nervous in new situations. Loud noises, traffic, and putting on a harness can still make him worry. What he needs is a family willing to give him time, patience and reassurance while he learns that the world isn’t quite as scary as he thinks it is.

 The good news? Once Fred trusts you, he is an absolute cuddle bug. He loves affection, enjoys meeting people, and is happiest when close to his humans.
