First things first - Maverick has a history of resource guarding, particularly around food. 


His foster family have made fantastic progress with him, but this is still a work in progress. 


Anyone applying MUST understand resource guarding and be fully committed to continuing his training and managing it appropriately.

Now for the Maverick behind the serious bit...


He arrived in foster a little shy and unsure... then somebody apparently pressed the Boston Terrier ON button. 


Since then, it’s been full throttle. He’s 100mph of zoomies, wiggles, toys, walks, mischief and general Boston nonsense. He loves attention, has discovered belly rubs and occasionally believes anything left within reach automatically becomes Maverick property.


Basically, he feels the need... the need for speed. ✈



🐾Maverick is:


• Housetrained
• Good in the car
• Good on the lead
• Very active
• Bright and loves training
• Fine being left for short periods
• Loving and affectionate
• Partial to the occasional bit of petty theft
• Quite convinced he’s the star of his own Top Gun sequel
• Weighing in at 10.5kg already!

🏡Maverick needs:

• A dog-free home - this Maverick flies solo and must be the only dog for now
• An experienced dog owner
• A good understanding of resource guarding
• Commitment to continued training
• No young children, cats or small furries
• Secure 5-6ft garden fencing - because apparently gravity is optional
• An active home with consistent routines and boundaries


✂ Maverick is currently un-neutered and will be adopted with a neutering contract. His adopter will be required to arrange for him to be castrated at the appropriate time, with the cost covered by UKBTR.


❤️ Maverick is bright, funny, loving and just the right amount of naughty. He’s come such a long way in foster and, with the right human prepared to continue putting the work in, we think he’ll make one very entertaining little best mate.


📍 He is currently in foster in Berkshire, and the successful applicant will need to travel there to collect him.


🐾 His adoption fee is £550.
